This week has been very difficult for me, as well as for you too right? I have debated on posting. I didn’t feel that I had the words to express how I was feeling. Because let’s be honest — it’s not about me or you right now. It’s about huge topics much bigger than many of us can contend with. I don’t want just write something to be in the conversation. There’s so much scrutiny right now and I’m not sure what’s appropriate or not. With that being said, I’ve decided to share 5 words that have made a big impact on me this week. I hope you will read and write back with your thoughts. I think one of the most important things right now is to admit we don’t have all these answers, but spark a conversation to hopefully make lasting changes.
• Freedom – What does freedom look like to you? Being the daughter of a Holocaust Survivor I feel that practicing Judaism is such a privilege that 6,000,000 people dies for.
Foresight – Where do you think we’re headed? True story: I lived in LA during the Rodney King riots. It was a time filled with such hatred. It was horrible and I never thought I’d see it again.
Fearless – Be fearless to teach kindness where you can. That’s what I do in my own home, and I know it’s a small difference I can make.
Fake news – Be careful what you watch, listen to, and feed yourself. I have learned to take a break this past week from all of the media. It just became too much for me.
For Something – Let’s stand for something. What do you stand for?
